ExpertRolex publishes independent articles about Rolex models, references, design changes and replica watch comparisons for readers interested in understanding the details behind individual watches.
This Editorial Policy explains how our content is researched, written, reviewed, updated and corrected.
Who Creates Our Content
Articles on ExpertRolex are written and edited by contributors who follow Rolex models and reference changes closely.
Our authors focus on observable and verifiable details including case dimensions, dial layouts, bezels, bracelets, movement specifications and differences between individual references.
We do not claim that our writers are authorised Rolex watchmakers, official Rolex dealers or professional authenticators unless such qualifications can be independently verified.
How We Research Articles
We use a combination of publicly available manufacturer specifications, reference documentation, reliable watch publications, detailed imagery and direct observations where available.
When discussing technical specifications, we aim to distinguish factual information from editorial opinion.
Details such as case diameter, reference numbers and movement specifications should be based on verifiable information. Comments about appearance, proportions, comfort or design are editorial observations.
How Articles Are Written
Our goal is to write useful, readable articles rather than create pages simply to repeat search terms.
We avoid unnecessary keyword repetition and try to build each article around a clear subject, reference or comparison.
Where replica watches are discussed, terms such as “AAA”, “1:1” or “super clone” are not treated as objective evidence of quality. These labels are used inconsistently across the market and should not replace an examination of the watch itself.
Content Updates
Rolex references and specifications can change as new generations are introduced. Older articles may therefore be reviewed and updated when new information becomes available.
Updates may include:
- correcting specifications;
- adding newly released references;
- improving comparisons;
- replacing outdated information;
- and clarifying information that could be misunderstood.
Corrections
If we discover a material factual error, or a reader provides reliable information showing that an article contains an error, we will review the issue and make an appropriate correction.
Readers can report possible errors through our Contact page. Including the article title, URL and supporting source will help us review the issue more efficiently.
Sponsored Content
If ExpertRolex publishes sponsored material or content created as part of a commercial relationship, that relationship should be disclosed clearly.
Payment does not guarantee a positive conclusion, recommendation or editorial opinion.
Affiliate Relationships
Some pages may contain affiliate links. If a reader follows an affiliate link and completes a qualifying action, ExpertRolex may receive a commission without increasing the price paid by the reader.
The presence of an affiliate relationship should not determine the conclusions of an article.
Editorial Independence
Editorial conclusions should be based on the subject being discussed rather than on commercial relationships or preferred search keywords.
We aim to separate editorial judgement from advertising and promotional arrangements wherever possible.
Use of Trademarks
Rolex and associated model names are trademarks of their respective owners. ExpertRolex is an independent publication and is not affiliated with, authorised by or endorsed by Rolex SA.
